Microsoft some time ago has released the latest update for Insider Canary users, in the update they successfully released an improvement by bringing the Weather Widget in the Lock Screen display in Windows 11.

Well today they are again bringing improvements from the same feature for those of you who use Windows 11 Insider Beta, this improvement they present through the latest update which will also change the OS Build to version 22635.3061 or the latest version.

The improvements they provide are not only for the Lock Screen feature that comes with the new Widget, but improvements for the Share feature in now support to send files directly via WhatsApp. So, when you share some files or media then you can directly send them via WhatsApp.

It should be underlined that to use this feature, you must install the desktop version of the WhatsApp application which can be directly downloaded through the Microsoft Store. The Windows Share feature is also expanded to send it via Facebook, X, LinkedIn and Gmail.

More completely, here is a list of Changelog and Improvement provided by Microsoft through its official website, including the following:

  • For Microsoft Edge and other browsers that invoke the Windows share window, the Windows share window now supports the ability to share URLs directly to WhatsApp, Gmail, X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, and LinkedIn. In Microsoft Edge, you can invoke the Windows share window by clicking the share icon at the top right in the toolbar and choosing the Windows share options.
  • This update addresses an issue that affects the spellchecker.
  • This update addresses an issue that affects the ActiveX scroll bar. It does not work in IE mode.
  • If you already use Weather under Settings > Personalization > Lock screen > Lock screen status, there is nothing for you to do. Also, this new experience will be on by default. Should you not want to see this experience, you can change your lock screen status to “None.”
  • This update includes a handful of fixes to improve overall reliability.

For those of you who use Windows 11 Insider Beta, it's okay to check for updates if you get the latest version. Good luck!
