Microsoft Releases Weekly Updates in Insider Beta

BLOGMAGZ

For those of you who are using Windows 11 Insider Beta, it is necessary to check for the latest updates in Windows Update. Microsoft is currently releasing weekly updates for Insider Beta users, which will automatically change the OS Build to the latest version.

Currently, Insider Beta users will get the latest update and change their OS Build to version KB5034220. Microsoft writes that this update is quite important because it brings several operating system improvements, in addition to also fixing problems that were previously present in Task Manager.

In addition, the company has fixed the crash in dxm.exe which yesterday had an impact on the Insider version of Canary, therefore because two Insider versions have had similar problems, Microsoft immediately fixed it. Here are some of the improvements provided:

The Beta Channel is the place we preview experiences that are closer to what we will ship to our general customers. Because the Dev and Beta Channels represent parallel development paths from our engineers, there may be cases where features and experiences show up in the Beta Channel first. However, this does not mean every feature we try out in the Beta Channel will ship. We encourage Insiders to read this blog post that outlines the ways we'll try things out with Insiders in both the Dev and Beta Channels.

In general

  • This update includes a handful of fixes to improve overall reliability.
  • Fixed a dwm.exe crash impacting some Insiders in the previous flight.

Improvements in Task Manager

  • Fixed an issue impacting Task Manager reliability on the last few builds.

For Windows Insiders in the Beta Channel who want to be the first to get features gradually rolled out to you, you can turn ON the toggle to get the latest updates as they are available via Settings > Windows Update.

Overall, the improvements provided by Microsoft are not so much and only contain system improvements. Therefore, for those of you who hope there are new features in this build, there is nothing at all.
